Summary 40

Inter-party squabbling seemed to be the name of the game. Oh, how we miss Lothar! Eventually, you determined to take both tasks - the mysterious disappearances and the political 'fly the flag' after persuading the Beg that you could accomplish both.

The journey to Tairapol was mostly uneventful and direction was straightforward - follow the dead body markers. Sadly no one was around to welcome you at Vutka. Strange that. Boring villages, such as Turpolotsk, Krupki and Borisov, were passed through. Close to Tairapol, you passed through a deserted and overgrown village, Guryev. It later transpired that this was a penal village whose inhabitants had been chained together, marched off and annihilated by invaders in an attempt to halt the Chaos raiders. You were not terribly surprised.

Collecting the Marienburg contingent of WheatCEF you patrolled northwards. Little useful was discovered in conversation. You eventually discovered a destroyed farmhouse mostly eaten away. Resting here, you quickly found the source of the problem - giant ants. After much hacking, someone suggested driving them away with fire - which worked. Following the retreating mass, you eventually discovered their lair and decided to return to Tairapol for help. This was not received very well, and you were sent on your way to Gorodische, your next point of call.

We will restart at this point. You have heard that there is trouble on the Great Brown Lake, but had planned to take a ship there. Certain mutterings of a GM set-up were heard. You have despatches for both Governor Anastasia Denisovia and Admiral Kolchak. You have not enquired about the geography or other detail of the region.

Other Issues

Kara has gained an insanity, to be determined (and I prefer players to come up with their own thoughts for playing, Phil).
