Summary 34
No one was remotely interested in the death of Silas and you travelled - without incident - to Koporye. You discovered that the Ever Triumphant Army, the Commonwealth's sole field army, had advanced north. You traced them to Svarog's Dig (in Vlachistan) from where they had continued northwards, chasing a Marauder force. Some apposite questioning* uncovered disagreement between the 'commander' Krystyn Todleben and a number of the nobility. This apparently led to the breaking of the army's orders.
Scouting around, you discovered the main force of the ETA and Todleben was very happy to accede to the Veche's orders. You volunteered to recall the left wing of the force. Unfortunately, you discovered that they had been annihilated and tactically retreated to Svarog's Dig. Sadly, the ETA did not appear, but a horde of Marauders did. The local leader Svetlana Koroleva refused to hand you over, the attackers' only apparent demand. Some of you heroically assisted in the defence; two of you selfishly hid in a barn with your horses. Particular note goes to Wolf who fought off a band (okay, two) of horsemen and marched all the way to Koporye, where he discovered the ETA had retreated to - and then harangued them into coming to your rescue.
You returned to Preslav, where you spent the winter. Some of you returned as heroes of note, gaining prestige from the defence. Others did not, though your overall position is secure on the balance of your efforts this year. Gongratulations are due to a pretty successful series of adventures. We ended the session doing various paperwork issues for the winter months, and agreeing your activities over that period.
*Lazarus appeared to use a strange power at one point, sending rumours around the camp. Attitudes towards him have shifted very fundamentally.
Game Issues
You are now up to date in your pay, with the exception of Lothar. Dieter and Nicolai are getting no pay. We need to resolve your end-of-season paperwork. Lothar has to age one year.
I still have no one-line summary for PCs so that I can put these on the website.
Also to repeat, can we please try and start at around the 1.30pm time. It again took us over an hour to get started last session.
