Summary 22

The journey to Erengrad had a few surprises and some organisational issues, which the party resolved well. The force arrived at the rendezvous on time and the journey was reasonable except for some birds and the need to put into Salkalten to effect some repairs due to what Wilhelm described as "another b****y turtle". On board also were Anders van der Kirk, a Marienburg merchant, and Casimir Lwon, a mysterious individual who kept to himself, though he did talk to a few of the soldiers. You met the Marienburgers, who are detailed on the WheatCEF sheet.

Erengrad was reached safely, but you were not allowed into the city. Still, it looked very nice from outside the walls! Also outside were your 'allies', a rather motley bunch of mostly press-ganged conscripts or lunatics from the asylum. And that is just the commanders!! Again, these are all detailed on the WheatCEF sheet.

Marching down from Erengrad along the (dangerous) north bank of the Lynsk, some of the more fanciful rumours appear unfounded as you see agricultural land. The Lynsk is well guarded with a thorny hedge and staked sections. Around this time, Lothar seemed to wake up from his torpor and chirp away at anyone and everyone. You passed the villages of Nieszawa, Czorn and Tuchola; at the latter Jakob thought he spotted a shadow enter the camp. Next day, Lothar noticed that Aer Dressair had an extra bodyguard - which Galabrovil denies. All villages are stockaded and do not allow you entry. You arrived at the oppida of Schonze. Here you met some ogre Janissaries, a convoy of refugees and some of the Ever Victorious Army, who looked a mess - but according to the refugees had fought off a horde of trolls. Also news reached you that a wizard in Erengrad had been assassinated on the day after you arrived. The journey continued through the villages of Eczbor and Leszken - but then settlements basically disappeared, and you arrived at the next oppida of Ostrody. Here you met with a body of EVA soldiers, claiming to have been ordered south across the Lynsk. No-one believes them, but what are you to do? The fort is refusing to provision you without your help to turn them back.

The WheatCEF 'Who's Who' is available on the website, and will hopefully make NPC interaction easier. Do not feel intimidated about talking to any of the NPCs; they are people too!
