Summary 18
Wayland was found dead the following morning, but you really did not care, though one or two looked sidelong at Jakob. Max von Pickenau of the Company of Proof-making made some commentary about the need for law, or somesuch. You left. What was basically a boring journey saw you arrive at Kiel, still on the Professor's trail. The place was a dump, and you were glad to leave, following the Professor. A group of mysterious anarchists heretically blew up a statue, and you knew absolutely nothing about this. Certainly not. No, siree. You really did not like Kiel.
Let's face it; tedium sums up this entire journey. You arrived in Trautenau with little to show for anything, except an attack by ogres and 'thugs' that you linked (in your own minds) to the Professor. Kane died here. At Trautenau, with a mixture of good role-playing and luck, you persuaded the baron to accept the Professor's deviousness and offer you a guide to the mound that he was working upon. Baron Trautenau-Nebelsfeur was not easily convinced as he believed that the Professor was a lay-Ulrican researcher and came with an excellent testimonial for Count von Pirkheimer. He is an (extremist/devout) Ulrican and a Talabeclander, but you managed not to upset him. He told you that he had sent some workmen with the Professor and his personal cleric, Ellen Lauschenberg.
The date is early on the 8th Sigmarzeit. You know that the Professor left Trautenau for a particular mound. You have a guide (Frederickus, the Baron's castellan). Can this be the end?! We pick up the action in the morning as the keep comes to life. You may select equipment, and try and trade with the personnel here if you so wish.
