Saturday AM – 10am-2pm – the Short Session

FULL
The Depths of the Earth [top]
GM: Rob Rees
Players: Simon Crowe, Steve Ellis, Jude Hornborg, Rich Pingree, Ian White

Hear ye! Hear ye! The goblin king Grubsilk is dead! Slain by the mighty General Distelbek who has driven the Dirty Claws tribe from the Dark Mountain! The general has routed the goblins and has now passed over the mountains to slay the Blackleg Goblins of the Forest of Dunkleschatten! May all men rejoice this day!

The death of Grubsilk and the scattering of his tribe presents a great opportunity to the dwarf Maultier and the merchant Schlauberger. Maultier is in fact the rightful heir of the Cragvale Delve, a forgotten dwarven hold in what is now known as the Dark Mountain. With access to Schlauberger's deep pockets and his ancestral knowledge, Maultier can reclaim the delve for dwarvenkind - or at least retrieve the priceless dwarven artefacts that are trapped inside.

All he needs now are brave souls to join his expedition to the depths of the earth!

FULL
The Rise and Fall of Jorge Eckes [top]
GM: Julius Foxton
Players: Tim Eccles, John Foody, Daniel Gooch, Wim van Gruisen, Robbert Raets

Does this Manling have sinews of steel and a head of stone? Does he think that he can get away with this insult? This might not be an adventure for the PCs, but Herr Eckes can definitely expect one!

An all-dwarf party out to redeem a Grudge using 3rd edition and the latest dwarf material. Game includes dwarf drinking songs, props and a very serious Grudge.

FULL
The Great Prison Break [top]
GM: Fred Mari
Players: Jo Bain, the dark knight of the twisted moon, Steven Hanlon, James McGowan, Jake Staves

Your caravan and your fellow Dwarven friends were captured a few moons ago by that stain on your racial heritage - those evil scum, the Chaos Dwarves. They've enslaved you and are slowly killing you through forced labour. On top, one of you might die even sooner, if you get picked for a coming sacrifice to the Dreaded Hashut, their evil God - it's time to escape... or die trying.

A meant-to-be-serious-but-you-never-know-with-those-players... game about grim and perilous escape from a definitely very grim and very perilous environment. Expect hardships, tough choices, betrayals and finely timed escapes from below the Shadow of the Valley of Death...

Saturday PM – 3-7pm – The ‘Normal Session’

FULL
Love and Progress [top]
GM: Steven Hanlon
Players: Steve Ellis, John Foody, James McGowan, Rob Rees, Ian White

Times were quiet in the town of Zweibruecken, just the way we like them. I've been making textiles all my life, just like my dad, and his dad before that. Now some old coot's come to town with some crazy ideas and a damned machine that could bring it all to an end. Something's got to be done, but what? Meantimes, we've all got other worries to deal with - demands from our wives, girlfriends that want marrying and mistresses that know more about us than we'd like. Love and progress, eh? Who'd have either?

Player-driven social farce in a formerly quiet corner of the Empire - a game for five ordinary joes trying to get by.

FULL
The Eye of Xatalotl [top]
GM: Wim van Gruisen
Players: Jo Bain, the dark knight of the twisted moon, Daniel Gooch, Fred Mari, Rich Pingree

When the famous explorer Daniel Lebenstein arrived in Marienburg, back from his voyage to Lustria, one of the treasures he brought back from that continent was a solid gold statue, called “The Eye of Xatalotl”. That statue is currently in the New Palace in Paleisbuurt, and in two days time there will be a ball there in honour of Lebenstein, where the statue will be prominently displayed. After that, Lebenstein intends to take the Eye of Xatalotl to Altdorf, to present it to the emperor.

You and your comrades have different plans, though. You are planning to steal the statue, somehow sell it and share the profits among yourselves. In order to do that, you’ll have to search for information, come up with a plan and execute a heist. A violent robbery won’t do, not with the security at that place. Instead, you’ll have to be clever and cunning.

FULL
Unlovely Bones [top]
GM: I
Players: Simon Crowe, Jude Hornborg, Robbert Raets, Jake Staves

'Of the Tomb Kings and Princes who were awakened by the Great Ritual of Nagash, not all were warlords. Prince Intef was renowned in his time as a patron of learning and the arts and was himself a talented poet and painter. The recent exploits of beings such as he are hard to ascertain amongst the endless in-fighting of the reanimated Nehekharan royalty.'

The players have the chance to accompany Prince Intef on his greatest adventure - a Grand Tour of the Old World! Exploring the sites of Altdorf may present certain problems, of course - a four thousand year old mummy cannot just walk the streets - but surely nothing a resourceful band of PCs cannot overcome.

Sunday AM – 10-2pm – The Tree-y Session

1 Space Available
The Three Festivals of Ythel map Gwydel [top]
GM: the dark knight of the twisted moon
Players: Tim Eccles, John Foody, Robbert Raets, Jake Staves

Our story begins on Beltane; the spring breeze rustles the new foliage of the Albion trees, promising gentle rain on the morrow, as Ythel map Gwydel urges his charioteer to greater speed. The house of Donyerth Gosufern, lies not far ahead, but it is only a short time before the festivities begin.

As Edern flicks his whip to comply, the other passengers, Nerth the shield-bearer and Tudwal Prontoryon, ensure their positions in the vehicle, whilst Mayek a Genel increases his pace to match the loping run of his wolf-hounds. The shadows are lengthening as the sun descends towards the Land of the Living, when the chariot crests a rise and the occupants see other guests hurrying towards Donyerthchyow whilst smoke rises idly from the chimneys of the ringhold.

A scenario for WFRP Classic Edition

FULL
Wild at Hart [top]
GM: I
Players: Jo Bain, Wim van Gruisen, Steven Hanlon, Rich Pingree

This year, autumn storms wrought more destruction on the Bretonnian countryside than ever before in human memory. When winter came, vicious dryads ventured from the woods and painted the snow with human blood. Now in the spring, a dormant evil has awakened near Athel Loren’s southern glades. The beastmen have returned, and this time stronger than before.

A goodhearted Carcasonnian knight has arrived at the Halls of Equos to negotiate on behalf of his liege lord, Duke Huebald, for an alliance against the beastmen. But the elves’ deliberations are cut off prematurely by a surprise attack on the council glade – renegade forest spirits! The ensuing fight ends quickly and without major casualties, but is taken to signify the Fay Queen’s objection. Negotiations are terminated.

A young Spellsinger disputes her council’s hasty decision. She offers to escort the knight home safely. No sooner have they left Equos before a magnificent, white stag appears before them...

1 Space Available
Lustria For Life [top]
GM: Simon Crowe
Players: Daniel Gooch, Fred Mari, James McGowan, Rob Rees, Ian White

In 2498 the Sigmafoil set sail from Marienburg to the distant shores of Lustria, carrying a doughty band of pilgrims. They found a land filled with a thousand ways to die, and so named their colony Morrgate. Two years later and the Sigmafoil has made it's second voyage to Lustria, and this time you're aboard. It's been a difficult journey but finally you arrive in the new world - only to find Morrgate deserted with no sign of the pilgrims. The jungles are full of lost tribes, ancient temples and giant frogs, so can you determine the fate of the lost colony?

A first edition WFRP game.

Sunday PM – 3-7pm –The Wind-down and Chill Session

FULL
The Araby Spring [top]
GM: Tim Eccles
Players: Jo Bain, Daniel Gooch, Steven Hanlon, Jude Hornborg, Fred Mari, James McGowan, Robbert Raets, Rob Rees

A new teacher, previously only known to those of the desert hinterland, has been advancing in popularity. Basing his teaching on a vision of Demos K'Ra Zhi he is preaching an Araby 'spring', a return to the past in order to leap into the future. Not only a heresy against Ormazd the Great, his ideas reinterpret the past and threaten to raise the Tomb Kings!

Lost temples, lots of snakes and rocks, wild tribesmen and the Undead are just some of the potential hazards facing our heroes as they seek to prevent the Araby Spring. Ben Ali of Clan Tunis, al Assad of the Ba'ath and Bonteflika of the El Dzayer are joined by concerned members of the international community, including a Tilean Priest of Morr and a concerned Cathayan, and others of their compatriots as they seek to quell this travesty.

Gather your forces for an expedition into the Burning Wastes to find the (not-so) Lost Temple Demos K'Ra Zhi and stop the Araby Spring!

A light-hearted game with figures, more bad taste humour and a quite-obviously-not-at-all Lost Temple. Uses WFRP1e and a very simple campaign system. Bring your own sun cream.

FULL
The Iron Lady [top]
GM: John Foody
Players: Simon Crowe, Wim van Gruisen, Rich Pingree, the dark knight of the twisted moon, Jake Staves, Ian White

I hear the train a comin'

3615IC – The Empire is a glorious power, ruling most of the Old World and spreading across the globe. Its lands are (largely) safe and times are (generally) good. War with the Fourth Dwarf Kingdom is finally over and trade has tentatively begun again.

The sole rights to run trains through to Kislev Province will be awarded to the first train to reach Talabheim by 18 Sigmarzeit. Only one contender remains - the Dwarf train the “The Iron Lady”, named in honour of Empress Magraritha III. Her Holy Imperial Majesty is due to meet the train at New Talagraad.

However, there are many that want to stop The Iron Lady. The PCs, human agents of the Dwarfs, are onboard to try and stop them.

A Steamhammer game of jet packs, steam powered robots, exploding cigars and running along the top of a speeding train...
